NYCkayaker Cold Spring Foundry Cove

I haven't seen the new construction. If parking is not allowed during the
week then we have a problem because there's nowhere else to park. Also,
denying access to the ramp, if I can call it that, would create other
problems. I've seen sail and oar powered boats being launched from trailers
there. Unless Scenic Hudson has changed the rules they do allow just about
any non motor type boat to launch. I'm just finishing building a 13' Beach
Pea, double ender, sail/oar powered boat that I was planning to christen in
Foundry Cove. My plan was to back my truck right to the water. I guess,
with help, I could carry it from the Metro-North parking area, but carrying
it from a parking spot on Main Street would be a challenge.
