NYCkayaker Update on Manhattan Circ on 8/12

  Hi 
   
  1. The trip around Manhattan planned by Steve and I is full and CLOSED. We do not want to "hog" the River and become a nuisance to the Coast Guard
   
  2. The weather for the entire weekend looks great. The current rain probability for Sunday is 0%. So, if anyone who has not already contacted us would like to do this trip, then please consider Sunday 8/13. You can post your interest to the list and I am sure it will happen.
   
  3. We are leaving this year from the Pier 96 Boathouse which is the current residence of the Downtown Boathouse. The PUBLIC launch at Pier 40 is NOT open as yet. Pier 96 is on the Hudson at 56th Street and we plan to depart at 8AM SHARP.
   
  4. The folks on our trip list will receive more detailed info about parking, boat unloading, etc..We would be more than glad to share this info with anyone else if you contact us..
