NYCkayaker Full Moon paddle Saturday August 12

Calling all fans of a Waning Gibbous Moon!
 
Come and see one for yourself from the awe inspiring perspective of your  
kayak on the Hudson River.
 
LOCATION: Foundry Dock Park next to the Cold  Spring Metro North parking lot.
 
TIME:  Moonrise will be at 9:49  PM.......Sunset will be at 8 PM
.
Paddlers will probably be launching about 9:30.
 
This is not an organized event. Each paddler is responsible for  themselves.
 
Since it will be dark, nobody will know who it is that is baying at the  moon 
the loudest. Maybe like last month we will hear answering moon-cries from  
the nearby forests. Maybe crystals, incense and candles will be with some  
paddlers. All will be made clear.
