NYCkayaker Surf Landings in a Kevlar Boat

OK, so this sounds kind of babyish but I love my baby!
I'm interested in helping out this Sunday August 20th
to support a swim race in Coney Island and heading
over to Brezzy Pt aftwards with the rest of the crew
to enjoy the beach. A couple of months ago I got a QCC
X700 Kevlar boat and before that for 3 years have been
paddling, surf landing a plastic Necky Looksha IV ...
indestructable boat, didn't care that even a car ran
over it (true , true) and nothing happened to it.
Would like to take the Kevlar QCC boat but how is the
surf at the beach? I'm nervous about landing the
Kevlar. What do you guys do with the composite boats
and rocks, stones, pebbpes, sand grinding away at the
hull? Already have some deep scratches. One of the
prices I have to pay for more speed/responsiveness I
suppose.
Thanks for your help!
