You don't need the BCU Handbook to study for the Star 1. What's more,
it wouldn't help you, even if you had it. Go to the Atlantic Kayak
Tours site (http://atlantickayaktours.com), and click on "Instruction,"
on the left-hand side of the screen. That will take you to the
descriptions of the various star programs, and from there you can go to
"1-3 Star Programs," which is probably all you need. If you want to be
super prepared, you can click on "Download BCU 1 Star Syllabus," and
read that over. But it's not a written test, and everything that you
will be assessed on at the end ofthe day will be taught to you during
the day.
