All,

The Downtown Boathouse will be doing their last trip to Governor's Island
this year on Saturday 9/2. We invite anyone with their own Kayak to join
us, either by leaving with us from Pier 96, or meeting us on the water.

We are doing this as part of our normal morning trip program.
People without boats meet at the Boathouse and we have a lottery drawing
to decide who goes. People with their own boats, assuming they are
seaworthy (must be rigid Sit on Top, or spray skirt equipped kayak) are
welcome to come along as well.

If you are bringing your own boat meet at the Pier 96 Boathouse at 8:00,
see www.downtownboathouse.org or anywhere on the Manhattan shoreline. We
should be at Pier 64 around 9:30, and Pier 40 around 10:00. If you come
with us, you must agree to stick with our group, and follow the
instructions from our cruel but fair trip leaders.

We will leave the island between 13:00 and 14:00. We ask that if you come
with us, you stay and leave with us as well.

This should be a lot of fun. If we time it right you can join a guilded tour.

Someday we may all be able to stop at Governor's Island anytime we want,
but for now there is a complex permit, application, insurance process that
both the Boathouse and Dredgers have undertaken.
We have already paid the permit free, so like everything else at the DTBH
it's FREE if you come with us.

If we cancel because of weather we will update the DTBH Daily Status line,
call 646-613-0740
