I didn't know him as well as some of you, but I had thought that that message he sent about the status of boathouses in the Hudson River Park trust was just about the best thing I saw written on that. I'd emailed him back-channel to say so, and I was looking forward to joining him on some Sebago club paddles - he was pretty satisfied with having joined there, too. 

Been having some struggles with keeping things in perspective lately, figuring out what's important & what's not...shoot. in the end it's about living a good life, appreciating what you have, and the people you find, and he did that, didn't he.
