Dear NYC Kayak List serve members.

I have been with NYC kayak list serve for a number of years. I do not
live on or near the Hudson and I paddle there only occasionally.

I have been greatly helped by the list serve members in planning and
finally going to the South Carolina low country last year (spring
2006)

i have also found good paddling companions through NYC kayaker list
serve for various trips in past years.

This coming year 2007 I have just scheduled a flight to Christ's
Church NZ for a 4.5 week stay in "shoulder season" Feb 9--March 13
2007.

A work colleague and fellow kayaker is joining me for the trip. We have
a veteran NZ visitor (another work colleague ) meeting us and making
practical arrangements. Our NZ guide is not a

kayaker, however

Any suggestions on kayak outfitters would be welcome for the South
Island. I am in contact with Fiordland Sea kayakers with tentative
plans for paddling in Doubtful Sound --and later in Abel

Tasman National Park. I am also aware of the SKOANZ (Sea Kayak
Operators Assoc of NZ)

I have appreciated reading the advice and counsel shared by many on
this list serve. The international kayaking expertise of the NYC
aggregate list serve kayak group is quite impressive.

Any suggestions for flat water kayaking in NZ would be appreciated.

If you have advice to offer please reply directly, particularly if you
have had any past experience paddling in NZ (or privately off the list
serve)

Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.
