Hi All,

Much as sun worshippers have there equinox, when day and night measure
in equal minutes, we water lovers have a local "equitide" event every
so often. This is when the tides at our primary local station, the
Battery in Manhattan, reach their lowest and highest points EXACTLY six
hours apart. Welcome to July 26, the EQUITIDE!

Below is today's data from Tides Online.

LOW TIDE

3:59 am	3:59 pm

HIGH TIDE

9:59 am	9:59 pm

Naturally the physical "day" of the Earth's rotation isn't exactly
24-hours, so the quartering effect isn't quite born out by reality. But
enjoy.

All we need now is some folksy superstition about balancing eggs or
something. :)

Equally yours,

Erik
