NYCkayaker stirrup rescues?

I would imagine a clip-in stirrup would work beautifully. Cross-straps
are fragile, but the bolted metal D-rings installed to secure seats
would be great. If the ring is too small, simply unclip one seat strap,
clip in your rescue stirrup, and climb in.
I don't recall seeing such compatible rescue stirrups marketed, but
I'll check with our volunteers and see if we can make a prototype.
I vaguely recall someone from the Downtown Boathouse had one for a
combed cockpit, but even at that center of sit-on-top kayaking I never
saw the kind of device mentioned above. We'll get cracking and thanks
again!
