This news is quite amazing. I would never have believed that these were
coyotes. I must emphasize that these were the eeriest howls I have ever
heard but I admit that I have never heard a large group of these animals
before and I was convinced that maybe they were stray dogs. Their number of
them seemed way to high.and Jeff having experienced these animals first hand
called it correctly.
All I know is that there were a lot of them and they were very close by,
right across the pond. One coyote howling I have heard before, but a large
group like this on a small island in Maine!?! Who would have believed it!
