Dear Members:
Please join me for an extended weekend trip, Sept. 7th, 8th & 9th to Cape
Cod. On the way up, a short paddle at Mystic Seaport with it's tall ships is
a possibility.
One of those days we will paddle out with the ebb to Monomoy Island National
Wildlife Preserve to see the seals.
On another we will paddle out of Herring Cove Beach to Race Point
where whales have been known to surface close by. Possible sunset dinner in historic
and eclectic Provincetown.
Also on the itinerary are trips to either Pleasant Bay, Nausett
Marsh or Wellfleet harbor.
I have family on the Cape, so I'll be staying with them. Therefore, if you
plan on coming along, you must make your own arrangements for acommodations. Using
any search engine, enter - Massachusetts + Cape Cod + campgrounds. Many choices
to be found there. You might also try Nickerson State Park in Brewster. Most motels
will probably have some vacancies. We will meet up each day to foray out to our
destinations.
THIS TRIP IS NOT FOR BEGINNERS. There are dangerous currents and rip tides. You
must have proper gear and experience to do this trip.
By joining this trip, you do so at your own risk.
