NYCkayaker Kayakers Needed for 16th Annual SWIM FOR LIFE Sun. 9/9/07

Hi All:
 
The 16th Annual Hudson River Swim for Life put on by The Leukemia  & Lymphoma 
Society and The Friends of Claire Foundation will take  place this year on 
Sunday Sept. 9. (The day after Yonkers Riverfest)
 
The Hudson River Swim  For Life® is a 3-mile swim from Nyack to Sleepy Hollow 
in the Hudson  River. Swimmers will conquer the river as kayakers and boaters 
assist them for  safety. 
The Hudson River Swim For  Life® has been created to raise awareness of the 
Hudson River,  promote swimming as a life long form of fitness, and to raise 
funds for the  ongoing work of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and The Friends 
of Claire  Foundation 
Check-In will be at  Kingsland Point Park in Sleepy Hollow. 
Participants will be swimming (and  kayaking) from Nyack to Sleepy Hollow. 
There is a $25  registration fee for all swimmers and kayakers 
Kayakers can check-in  either at Sleepy Hollow between 7 and 8:30 AM and then 
paddle  across to the starting point in Nyack. Or they can check-in at Nyack  
between 8:30 and 9:30 AM and arrange a shuttle to get them back to their car  
after the race. 
The race will start at 10  AM and the last swimmer should be out of the water 
at 1 PM. 
Both breakfast and lunch  will be served at Kingsland Park in Sleepy Hollow.
