Hi All,

There's a new edition of Waterwire News out, and I'm happy to say it
gave me the opportunity to highlight Hallets Cove, a great soft edge
that many of us have come to enjoy. 

Jerry Blackstone is an especially big fan of the beach, which is one of
the finest stopovers to be found on a Manhattan circumnavigation. The
LIC Community Boathouse counts the cleanliness of the beach as one of
its proudest achievements. Before we arrived on the scene it was
littered with not only tide-tossed floatables, but also air
conditioners, televisions, car parts, numerous panes of glass, and other
undesirable and unsafe items. We clean it each week we provide paddling.
