My guess it is Andy Laiosa who lived or still lives on the Oval. Back in
the 1980s he had a minivan. I can't imagine it is the same one but likely a
replacement since they are great mother ships for kayakers. Andy was in the
MCKC with me back then. He for the longest time taught rolling at the
Yonkers Y. He is a whitewater paddler. I remember in one Round Manhattan
trip he duct taped a skeg of sorts to his whitewater boat. Of course, it
came off but he still was able to keep the WW kayak going straighter and
faster than most of us in longer sea kayaks.
