NYCkayaker Cold Spring with ConnYak

Someone needs to get the Connyakkers a copy of the Hudson River Water Trail guide so they can read the bit at the back that explains why high tide and low tide are not simultaneous with the change of current from ebb to flood.We made great time downriver, and had lunch in Popolopen creek.  Then at 12:30 or so they said "all right, lets head back."I say "Um, the ebb is still running for like another hour and a half."Oh well, Popolopen to Cold Spring against the current and a stiff breeze makes for a good work out.
