Sun and Moon Data for One Day
The following information is provided for Newburgh, Orange County, New York
(longitude W74.0, latitude N41.5):
        Saturday

28 July 2007 Eastern Daylight Time

                         SUN

        Sunset 8:18 p.m.

        End civil twilight 8:50 p.m.

                         MOON

        Moonrise 7:50 p.m. That's 8:50 PM Eastern Daylight
Savings Time

Phase of the Moon on 28 July: waxing gibbous with 98% of the Moon's
visible disk illuminated.
Next full moon paddle will be July 28...leaving Cold Spring Foundry Dock
Park at 8:15 or so...paddling north to near Little Stony Point State Park....or
further if you want.

A 360 degree white light for the stern or your kayak is required (see Hudson
Valley Outfitters in Cold Spring or other retailers).

Last month many Hudson River Skulkers were heard laughing and singing as
they skipped across the surface between Breakneck Mountain and Stony Point
Mountain. They remained (as is often the case) just out of sight....but sounded
happy to have us there.

NOTE: This is not an organized event...all paddlers are responsible for
themselves...do not make this your first paddle on the Hudson River (as
waves/wakes can come up suddenly...hey, it'll be dark). This posting is only for
general information purposes.

Walt
