  NYCKayaker,
    I received a note from one of the organizers for the Swim Across 
America charity event on Saturday, July 28 on the Long Island Sound.

    Perhaps some of you are interested in volunteering as kayakers or in 
some other capacity. If you are then please take a look at the 
instructions being sent (below). Hope to see some of you there. Richard

*Dear Kayaker,*

Less than I week before the Swim Across America event on July 28, 2007.

I have attached some instructions for the day of the event. Please review
them beforehand and call me at *(914) 632-3236* if you have any questions.

Check-in will be available Friday evening at Larchmont Yacht Club between
6:00 and 8:00pm. You can store your kayak there overnight. Saturday morning
check-in will start at 5:30am. All kayakers will be required to sign a
waiver when they check-in.

There will also be a brief meeting for Kayakers and Boaters in the
Pandemonium at LYC (to the right of the club House) at 6:45pm this Wednesday
(7/25/2007).

Please make note of one other thing:

Unless you are a member of the Larchmont Shore Club you can not leave your
kayak there following the event w/o prior approval. All kayaks must be
removed from the club by the end of the day. Bus transportation is available
from LSC to LYC should you want to ride back there, pick up your car and
return to LSC for your kayak.
