Hi

There are Parrots at the Edgewater Marina. !!!!!!!!!!!

Check it out on the website _www.edgewaterparrots.com_
(http://www.edgewaterparrots.com/)

I plan to paddle from Tubby Hook or Inwood next Saturday June 9 with YPRC
member Alison Evans-Fragale and her husband Mark.

Ali,as her friends call her, is also the founder of the Save the Edgewater
Parrot Foundation. Once we arrive at Edgewater, Ali will give us a walking tour
 and call forth the birds.

Ali, Mark and I will meet at the Inwood Canoe Club boathouse. Dr. Antonio
Burr, ICC Commodore, has graciously given us permission to launch from their
dock. By the way this club dates from 1902.

Inwood is at the northern end of Manhattan. Drive there by taking the Henry
Hudson Parkway to exit 17 and proceeding west on Dyckman St for one or two
blocks to the end. Or take the #A subway to Broadway and Dyckman and walk west
on Dyckman five blocks to the Hudson River.

We'll meet at 9:30AM and launch at 10AM. We will paddle into the ebb. If we
arrive at Edgewater by 12, we'll be fine since the current turns to flood at
Edgewater at 1 PM.

After our guided walking tour and quality time with the parrots, we'll stop
at a restaurant at the Edgewater Marina for lunch.

I'll bring a camera

We'll start back around 2:30PM on the flood and should be back at the ICC
dock around 4 or 4:30PM.

The paddle will be about four or five miles each way.

If you would like to join us, let me know by back channel e-mail or by cell
phone.
