I think you're talking about the so-called maxwell-house beach, named after
the coffee factory that used to be there. Before you write about the place,
you should take a look at what it used to look like, before they whacked
down the big shade trees and packed the shoreline with rip-rap. I'll try to
post a before and after photo, though I'm not sure this list allows that.
Unbelievable to me that the local and state environmental authorities would
sign off on that kind of 'improvement.'
