NYCkayaker How Do You Keep Your Cameras Dry?

I bought an inexpensive watertight plastic case (~$20) from a local
(Atlanta local) dive shop. I think I have also seen them at Boaters
World or West Marine in the past. Its maybe 9X6X5 inches or so. My
camera (an Olympus C5060z) fits inside. To cushion it from being
banged around and to soak up any water that might inadvertently leak
in, I put some kitchen sponges in all around the camera which fit
perfectly in this box. I also glued some outfitting foam to the
outside so that if I'm rolling or what have you and the box, which I
would keep in the cockpit in front of me, rolls around, it won't bang
around. Anyway, it works great. I want to get the new sprayskirt that
I read about in a New Products section of a recent kayak magazine issue
which has a waterprrof zipper on the deck so you can quickly get to
whatever is in your cockpit without removing the skirt.
