Check out the Panasonic Lumix series of cameras. Some models have 10x
optical zoom for the 35mm equivalent of I believe a 40mm - 400mm lens.
They have IS and also take great full frame videos. Ans they have Leica
optics. Other than that digital SLR's have dropped quite a bit in price,
but a good long lens still costs an arm and a leg. Just remember its not
a question of if you will flood your camera, but rather when.
