Anybody know whether, and during what hours, the channel will be closed for the race? I was planning to cross the Hudson at Yonkers well before noon and cross back well after, but I don't want to get mowed down by a stray racer or get picked up by the law for being in a closed area.

<div>All - </div>
<div>FYI - there are&nbsp;kayaking and&nbsp;swimming events&nbsp;on the NY waterways this weekend.&nbsp; There is also a large power boat event to be aware of. The 2007 Poker Run (the really big, really noisy cigerettee boats) will&nbsp;take place on Saturday June 16.&nbsp; There is basically a race from the GWB to the TappenZee Bridge at Noon with boats traveling well in excess of 100 MPH. Most of this will take place&nbsp;towards the westren side of the&nbsp;River. Nevertheless there will be alot of&nbsp;powerboats on the river.
