Want easier and safer paddling access, or want to have cigar boat bumper
races from the Island, or other issues of importance to you?

For example, now landing on the Island is only officially with a prearranged
permit.

The next public meeting will take place on

Wednesday, June 20th, from 6:30 PM ­ 8:30 PM


at the Fashion Institute of Technology¹s Reeves Great Hall (28th Street and
7th Avenue) to discuss the Governors Island Open Space Design Competition.
The forum will allow each of the five design teams to present their visions
for a new promenade and park on the Island, as well as provide an
opportunity for public feedback.

Over the course of the public planning process, the Governors Island
Preservation and Education Corporation provides presentations to update the
public on the planning process and to solicit feedback on the future of
Governors Island. Below, please find links to recent presentations made by
the corporation.
