OK, I can't quite believe that I'm posting a link to the New York Post, but the guy sitting next to me on the subway last night was idly leafing through a copy & the headline "Pier Pre$$ure" caught my eye, particularly as the bit I managed to read before the guy flipped on included the words Pier 40. Went home & searched, found the article, figured I'd share.

Don't forget they are taking comments & there's a public meeting on the subject on Thursday the 3rd.

Going to be an interesting one too - I did a little bit of a writeup on Frogma on Sunday with a link to a Villager search - The Villager has been covering this intently.

I don't think I can make it but I think I am going to at least submit a comment requesting that whichever one gets picked, it would be nice if there would be some forethought given to interim storage solutions for the boats that are stored there. The DTBH went through disruption, Pier 63 went through disruption, by this time it shouldn't be a big surprise that when a place where people have been storing boats gets shut down, it causes a bit of a problem for those people.
