My VERY APPROXIMATE calculation, based on the PREDICTED currents, and assuming the leak started at noon on Friday:Max sewage travel upriver of 7 NM (Dobbs Ferry) occuring at the end of the flood at 3pm on Saturday.Since I was on the water North of Piermont between 12:30 and 3:00 on Saturday, and am not violently ill, I guess I'm not too far off. I'd say no change it got up to Croton Point.Bob----- Original Message -----From: Emile Zen Date: Monday, May 7, 2007 10:05 amSubject: Re: NYCkayaker Hudson River (Yonkers vicinity) WarningTo: nyckayaker at rockandwater.net> Does anyone know the probability some of this would have flooded > into Croton Point Park on Sunday morning?> > Emile> > Richard Clifford wrote:> Please be advised:> > Sewage still pouring into Hudson; boaters warned> > > http://www.thejournalnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070505/NEWS02/705050394> > > (Original publication: May 5, 2007)> YONKERS -Boaters and others should avoid contact with the > Hudson River today, because a broken sewer line that has dumped > millions of gallons of raw sewage into the water has not yet > been repaired.> > > ---------------------------------> Ahhh...imagining that irresistible "new car" smell?> Check outnew cars at Yahoo!
