That would be a flawed system, but hardly one necessary to repeat. More appropriate would be for
the architect to be given certain parameters up front that are already agreed to by all interested
parties. For instance, the boathouse should be able to store n number of kayaks of m length, the
staging area should be at least s square feet, the ramp should be at least w feet wide, there
should be a shower area of s square feet with h number of shower heads etc. etc.
Secondly, the proposed design need not be much more than a simple non-detailed plan view showing
the overall dimensions and general layout before it is presented to the interested parties for
approval before the design goes any further.
