Join us for a unique dinner to benefit the tk-mile cross-country journey of
Sgt. Ordway¹s First Squad, following the Lewis and Clarke National History
Trail. Dressed in period costume, Sgt. Ordway and Sgt. Willow will recount
their ³discovery² of the West and their interactions with Native American
peoples.
See their hand-carved canoes:
Mato Chante (Heart of the Bear) hand-carved from a 27-foot ponderosa pine
Flyiing Eagle (Wambli River Dancer) hand-carved from a 25-foot western red
cedar
Hear their tales about paddling the Clearwater, Snake, Columbia, Yellowstone
and Missouri Rivers; riding hundreds of miles on horseback through Montana;
and the incredible relationships forged with Native American peoples along
the way.
Menu features fresh and wild Chinook salmon caught by Native American elders
in gratitude for the mission by Sgt. Ordway and the First Squad
commemorating the travels of Lewis and Clarke.
