Rowers cruised along the Harlem River Saturday to help raise awareness about
the city's waterways.

Teams paddled their way from Yankee Stadium to Swindler Cove Park for the
third annual Head of Harlem Regatta.

Participants say while the competition is a tough workout, it's a lot of
fun, too.

"Sort of have fun, to row, this is what we do, this is what we love. As much
as they say winning isn't everything, it is fun when you win," said one
participant. "It's all in the fun of the sport."

"Today is my first race," said another. "I really feel like I did something,
I put my all into it. It's fun out here. It's a fun, good day."

The festivities continued in Swindler Cove Park with fishing, gardening and
face-painting. More at link
