NYCkayaker Glowing animals? in the Hudson

Thanks for the info.  It seems likely that they were Ctenophores.  It was truly an awsome experience.  I paddle at night often and I've never seen them before.  I've seen a bioluminescent fungus in the woods before, but this was much different.  Super cool.

Probably ctenophores.  They are more beautiful than any jewelry. 
The river is full of them now.

It must have been a wonderful experience.  It is also quite
something to open your eyes underwater while swimming amongst them
at night.  They don't sting humans (at least the ones around NYC
don't).
