People who are not aware the ocean and rivers near an ocean has tides and tidal currents are too
dumb to miss much if they die. It is advantagous to society, the human race and the enviroment
for people that stupid to be removed from the gene pool. In fact, this is natures way of
creating benefit and prosperity to humans (and all other species,) i.e. the natural tendency to
remove the weak and less intelligent specimens. Bucking the natural order of the planet and
universe is not helpful, beneficial, and is rarely, if ever, a good idea.

These types of signs are usually ugly and very distracting from the natural beauty of the
surroundings. They are also placating and insulting to persons of reasonable intelligence.
People go to the river to commune with nature and reduce the stresses of modern urban society.
Ugly signage with sub-intelligent messages works against that and creates a general deterioration
in the quality of life.

That would certainly make them better than the average ugly warning sign, particularly if they
would be on something other than the typical ugly plain painted steel.
