Jim Clark is a regular PortSide volunteer. Some of you may have met him on
the tanker Mary Whalen.
He has an opening party for his gallery of Inuit Art in Red Hook, this
Saturday 10/13 7-9:30pm, Fairway Building #4E Get the full skinny below.
He is originally from New Bedford, the USA's leading fish port, and he
fished king crab in Alaska for 15 years (so what he knows what he's doing
on a workboat when he's around here). This is how he became familiar with
Inuit Art.
The art is wonderful, and the space is also worth the trip as you can see
the conversion of the old warehouse that is now the Fairway building,
including the insertion of a roofless atrium. More about the gallery at
