Ready for the (probably) last full moon paddle of 2007?

Leaving Foundry Dock Park, Cold Spring about 6:15 PM. Free parking , as
usual, in the Metro North Parking Lot.

Most will be paddling north to area just beyond Little Stony Point State
Park ('cause it's dark there). Some may want to circumnavigate Bannerman's
Island (about a one hour paddle from Cold Spring).

Moon will be 98% full!

Howling contests to take place between Storm King Mountain and Breakneck
Ridge. There, too, we will listen to the fain slash and laughter of the vary
light-of-foot fabled Hudson River Walkers...an almost extinct species unique to
that area of the Hudson.

Water temps remaining in the low 60 degrees.

After paddling for 1 to 2 hours we will retire to the DEPOT RESTAURANT for
annual awards ceremony (?) and sharing of other tall tales!

Whenever you arrive, just head north...360 degree white lights for your
stern are a must (available at Hudson Valley Outfitters, 63 Main Street, Cold
Spring).

Showers are OK...but if it rains very hard, we will be at the DEPOT early
for the ceremonies and food.

NOTE: This is NOT an organized event. Paddlers accept sole responsibility
for themselves. Hey, it'll be dark out there! A full moon paddle should NOT be
your first paddle on the Hudson River.
