NYCkayaker Full Moon Paddle with Floating Lanterns???

Update to FULL MOON Paddle Oct. 27...from Cold Spring.......
 
This just in....from a usually reliable source....."There is a Scenic  
Hudson-sponsored event just before our departure time on that night right at  
Foundry Dock Park. (Jack o lantern carving and then a flotilla organized by  
Building Bridges Building Boats). Carving is 2-4PM, but I think the flotilla is  
designed for after sunset? (Not positive...)."
 
Hummmmmmm..........that gives me an idea.......
 
Who knows how to make or where to buy floating  lanterns?
 
If we get 24 of them, we outta have enough so each paddler can have  
one.......to be lit whenever.......
 
NOTE: This is NOT the proper setting to tug yer  old kayak astern and lite 
'er up out there. No "Viking Funerals" either,  please.
 
As always.......this is NOT an organized event......nobody is "in  charge!"
