The Superferry people in Hawaii are trying to get the coast guard to ban
the canoes from their harbor. "Hi Brian, Everyone. I just have to say I
find it ludicrous that paddlers/canoe clubs may be put in a position to have
to ask permission to use the bay. I think it is the Super Ferry that is
violating regulations, not us. Can we confiscate their vessel? There's a lot
about 'prudence' here. I think the onerous falls on the shoulders of the
super ferry in being inprudent in trying to go ahead with their financial
endeavor before making sure that it was both legal and safe for the living
things and island culture via an EIS. Yes, let's keep the keiki safe, but
let them also learn that we live in an incredible country where civil
disobedience is a right that should be exercised in a situation with this
much gravity. Just my thoughts,
