Ahoy NY-NJ Kayakers,

We would like to invite the kayak community to our BacChANAL Party next Thursday, Sept. 20 from 5-9pm. Visit our website: http://www.gowanuscanal.org (advance tickets $25 ea., kids free)

BacChANAL is a kid friendly event where families arrive early for entertainment by Billy Bones the Pirate, canoe rides and a barbecue. It is a bit more rocking later in the evening, when the music starts at sunset and forcasts call for a beautiful evening! 
 
If you need some canoeing practice beforehand, visit our 2nd St. dock between 1-5pm this Saturday (9/15) for some regular FREE canoeing and spot crabs, migrating birds and other wildlife. 

We want to thank the NY Kayaker list gods for allowing us to use this venue to solicit your participation as well as take this opportunity to thank everyone for your support this season.  We'll have two more FREE canoeing days in October so be sure to stop by.  

Funds raised support the Gowanus Dredgers, Red Hook Boaters, Long Island City Community Boathouse and the Staten Island Kayak Association programming and we are hoping to raise more funds to expand programs in 2008.
