I saw the butterflies on Friday during the park(ing) space day , they were
landing on a flowering plant we had in the parking space ,
Really cool to know they travel to Mexico. Maybe next year we can get a
foldable kayak or canoe to add in the park(ing) space day festivities.
Public parks is much better use of space than car storage. I think there
were 20 plus locations set up, Clarence mentions the number in his excellent
video.
If the need every arose I am sure many of the underground parking spaces at
the 79street marina could be converted to kayak storage, maybe it should be
a build it and they will come project.

Subject: NYCkayaker Butterflies. Dang it, let's talk about butterflies. Yes
yes.
I was out with a bunch of Sebago clubmates over the last 3 days, we did a
fun paddle starting in Jamaica Bay, out around Breezy Point, in through the
East Rockaway Inlet, along the inside shore of Fire Island & finishing up at
Smith Point. First of a multi - year circumnavigation that I was lucky
enough to get in on (thanks again anyone who's reading who made this happen)
- next year, Montauk or bust!
