NYCkayaker John Ziegler at New School Boat Shop tomorrow, 3 pm

Hey, just a general invitation to ANY AND ALL of you out there who might be
interested in 'Row Hard, No Excuses,' the recently-released movie about John
Ziegler and Tom Mailhot's amazing, harrowing race across the Atlantic
(Canaries to Barbados) in 2001. John will be in the New School Boat Shop
tomorrow at 3 pm to show clips from the movie and talk about the experience
(if enough people show up and are interested, he might even be persuaded to
show the whole movie).

The New School Boat Shop is at 65 Fifth Avenue, between 13th and 14th
streets. Sign in and tell the security guard you want to go see the
boatbuilding shop, then bear left past escalator and head for northwest
corner of ground floor, just past the reading room.

This will also be an opportunity to check out the Whitehall gig my students
are building in the storefront window of the boat shop. We're about three
weeks away from finishing it, so the decks aren't on yet and you can get a
good look at how the thing's put together. Tentative launch date: April 25.
