NYCkayaker Landings on Roosevelt Island

Sadly, no. We've had paddlers launch from there and lie to authorities that they launched from LIC to avoid penalties or closer monitoring in the future. Not helpful to us, especially one who was in a black whitewater boat, in black, no life jacket. Yikes.

There are plans for one south of middle, east channel. But none now, sorry.

Are there any put-ins on Roosevelt Island, or perhaps more importantly,
any place to take out.  I am supposed to play football on Fireman's
Field and thought I might paddle over.  The field is near the tram
station.
