NYCkayaker Lots of Bald Eagles

I saw a couple mature ones from land at croton point today, two mature ones
and one immature. Spoke to a couple people launching kayaks; they got some
good views of quite a few. The eagle fest is this coming Saturday.
Spoke to one of the people that will be presenting some of the talks, the
lack of ice on the reservoir is keeping the counts relatively low. Four
long eared olws are in the same spot; saw one hunting when I was leaving.
I thought it was kind of funny that the condos that were built upon the
water with great community opposition has spotting scopes, high powered
camera, and binoculars pointed at their windows all day long due to the
eagles flying buy and hanging out in the trees in front.
