OK, my initial reaction to this was "What the heck?"

But I looked back at Mike's email and I see we have a waterborne case of "Eats, Shoots, and Leaves"!

For anyone else who's confused, Mike's email started:

Actually I'm afraid I'm not even a member of Yonkers - but I do think it's a great club, I've learned tons from Jack & others up there & I (and I suspect a lot of other people on this email list, although of course I can only speak on my own behalf) was happy to write a couple of letters during the last threat & would be happy to do that again, if it turns out it's appropriate.
