Thanks for your thoughtful reply!
Not much time now, but in short:
- currents are not strong near shore here, and can be times well.
- we actually have very little traffic here, especially recreation
motorboats, and the race would likely be close to shore (I did toss the
crossing idea out there, but just to cover bases)
- this is a specific fundraiser for our public programs, but I always
welcome events to bring us together (I started the Harbor Ramble for that
reason, which MWA has taken and made better!)
