Congrats to Carter and Ray for putting this year's event together, and I hope it only grows - maybe an overnight one day?
Two quick thoughts:
1) Confluence might be more evocative than convergence.
2) Harborwide might be more inclusive of NJ and Yonkers than 5 Boro. Even if we emphasize the NYC Water Trail, boathouses like Hoboken and Yonkers should qualify for affiliate status.
Thanks again for creative, diligent work!

Subject: NYCkayaker "City of Water" festival planning meeting, Monday 2/25/08
Greetings all - building on last year's inaugural 5 Boro Paddle/ Ramble,
we are putting a greater and bigger spin into motion this year with a
"City of Water" convergence of paddlers and rowers we are aiming to
create on Governors Island this coming July 26 (rain date: July 27). We
are very excited to be working closely with Ray Fusco to make this event
an even bigger success.
Join us at the Planning Meeting this coming Monday, 5.30pm at the MWA
office at 457 Madison Ave. Please RSVP to me if you plan to attend.
Also, below is a Working Schedule of Events for the day. If you CANNOT
make it but want to stay in the loop, please feel free to let me know
and I'll keep you on the e-update list.
