Ditto! Also, Evan Pritchard is a great guy. I got to become his friend back
when I wrote the "Holy Waters" article for the Village Voice about the
spiritual life of New York Harbor.

He has since been a great ally in our effort (the coming World Boatbuilding
Museum and East River ApprenticeShop) to build a dugout canoe. Our goal is
to have the burn on Governors Island during the 2008 harborwide confluence
of paddlers and rowers and to begin full operations of the program in Long
Island City during the summer (we're edging closer to getting proper space).

As usual, the Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance has been a leader in making
both the gathering and the museum possible.
