Hi All,

Thanks Mike for pointing out Ms. Kolata's article in the Jan 17 
NYT. This is not the first time she has screwed up a dissertation 
on cold water immersion. This time I'll do something about it.

Dr Brooks has a new article out in the current (FEB, 2008) issue 
od Seakayaker Magazine that addresses cold shock and 
Swimming failure in detail. It is a fine article! If you don't subscribe 
to the magazine, pick it up at the bookstore magazine rack!

Good News! NYS Parks and Rec. Marine Services Unit has just 
printed 38,000 of these brochures for distribution in their 
numersous safe boating programs in 2008. They will be supplied to 
anyone that wants them.
