NYCkayaker No. of kayakers using Hudson River

Hi Zhennya,
Why are you looking for this information? As a kayaker on the Hudson River from Garrison and a Board Member of the Hudson River Watertrails Association, I think it will be very difficult to get a handle on these numbers as explained by other posts. Our organization has?over 400 members enrolled but just look at all the posts on NYCKayaker each day-our official website. And the numbers that use the DTBH kayaking program each summer?is amazing. And each September at the Hudson River Swim for Life for Lymphoma and Leukemia we get over 150 kayakers as swim support. I could go on...I am sure that all of the groups cited earlier would be willing to help you.
Wouldn't it be great to have a handle on these numbers!

Anyone have any ideas about where to obtain info on how many people kayak in the 
Hudson each year? Also, is it possible to get annual number of paddlers from 
local boathouses?
