NYCkayaker GHRP 2008 Lands in Yonkers Today 7/12

Hi:
 
The Great Hudson River Paddle group will land at the Beczak  Environmental 
Education Center
 this morning between 10 AM and noon.
 
They are staying at this site until tomorrow morning when they will paddle  
to NYC and complete their trip.
 
Once they land today, they will be off the water until tomorrow.
 
They will take a walking tour of historic downtown Yonkers with the  City 
historian, Mario Caruso. This tour will start at Beczak starting at 1 PM  and 
ending at 3 PM.
 
This evening they will be "on the town" on Main Street in Yonkers
 
Maybe some of the paddlers would like to visit the Hudson River Museum  
during the day.
 
The local kayaking community is invited to greet the GHRP folks today on  
land and tomorrow on the water.
