Hi,
Cherie and Paul left on Saturday, July 12th with six other kayakers for company. They made their goal of 30 miles that day, but on the way to Port Henry on Sunday, they had to leave the water as 40 mph storms from the SE fetched waves of up to four feet! They will try to make up the time by paddling 10 extra miles/day for three days in order to stay on schedule. When they come through our area any can contact them by cell # at the bottom of this post.
I plan to meet them early Sat. morn at Plum Pt.- paddle to Peekskill, camp- them Paddle from Peekskill to Yonkers Sun., and Yonkers to Statue of Liberty on Mon. Come- join us or help support the cause by sporsoring a paddler for a donation/mile.
