**** This is an unofficial message ***** LAST MINUTE NOTICE *****
**** NYC Triathalon Swim Support this Sunday morning *****

Anyone coming from NJ (or even the Yonkers area )who think they would want to join me and paddle down from the George Washington Bridge to 78th st write me back channel!

Am planning to link up (around 2am) with the LICC Boathouse crew who's doing a circumnavigation of Manhattan. I will meet them around the GW Bridge on the NY side ... (yes there will be a night crossing of the Hudson River) and paddle down to arrive by 4:30am ... latest 5am.

OK , here's the currents at the GW Bridge for Sunday morning .

2008-07-20 1:45 AM EDT -0.00 knots Slack, Ebb Begins
2008-07-20 5:17 AM EDT -2.30 knots Max Ebb
2008-07-20 5:41 AM EDT Sunrise
2008-07-20 7:53 AM EDT Moonset
2008-07-20 8:54 AM EDT 0.00 knots Slack, Flood Begins
2008-07-20 11:01 AM EDT 1.47 knots Max Flood

So we will get a little push down river.
I think the best thing is to strike across the Hudson at around 1:30 - 2am (lite up like a Christmas tree) from the NJ Englewood boat basin.
***yOU must HAVE SOME SORT OF LIGHTS ATTACHED TO YOUR BOAT ****

I'm figuring it'll take about 2 - 1/2 hrs from the Spytum Dykill (poor spelling) train swing bridge above the GWB to get down to 78th st.

**** Of course this is at everyone's own risk since I don't have a bucket to ... yea you know what I mean ****

Will / NJ
Red Looksha IV .... before there was a IV
