"Water is an area where things can happen so quickly it staggers the mind."
so true. I kind of figure that's why people feel so strongly about some of the topics that have been debated of late - 'cause we know all know that's true & when we even suspect that other people might not, we get really really worried. We mostly snipe because we care. A lot.
Sandy, I actually thought about coming when you mentioned you had boats for people to borrow (I'm not too much of a snob for a sit-on-top) & it would've been a nice way to get back on the Hudson & catch up with old friends. In the end, I've just been really overscheduled lately, couldn't add on yet another commitment. Summer's flying, isn't it?
In a way, I'm glad I missed this one - once was enough - but the tri's (aside from the first one) were fun to work (although oooh, that start time...)
Still ended up volunteering on Saturday morning - just on Sebago's Saturday morning open paddle, a little more low-key, that's all.
anyways - thanks for the reports, glad you guys are all ok.
